Toronto Blue Jays infielder Ernie Clement provided a much-needed offensive spark on Tuesday, recording three hits in a 9-3 victory over the San Francisco Giants. Clement went 3-for-4, adding a double, an RBI, and a run scored to help secure the win.

According to RotoWire, Clement has maintained a strong individual performance, batting .341 over his last 12 games since returning from a hip injury in late June. On the season, the second baseman is hitting .298 with a .753 OPS, seven home runs, and 30 RBI across 89 games.

The victory comes at a critical time for the Blue Jays, who have struggled with consistency in recent weeks. Following a difficult loss on Monday where the team managed only three hits, Clement publicly addressed the team’s need for better collective focus. “You’ve got to find a way to win when you’re not playing your best,” Clement noted in comments reported by Jays Journal. “We’ve got to start playing for each other and play a lot better.”

As the Blue Jays look to stabilize their season, Clement’s recent production offers a positive trend for the team’s lineup as they continue their current road stretch.
