PlayStation.Blog has officially announced Stuntman: Hollywood, a new cinematic-focused title arriving on PlayStation 5. Unlike traditional racing games, the title centers on the role of a professional stunt performer, tasked with executing complex sequences inspired by major Universal film properties, most notably the Fast and Furious franchise.
According to the announcement, the game shifts the focus from competitive racing to film production mechanics. Players are required to perform specific maneuvers—such as drifting, navigating obstacles, and high-speed precision driving—under the scrutiny of a virtual director. The gameplay loop is structured around episodic film shoots, where success is measured by the ability to hit specific marks and survive stunt sequences rather than crossing a finish line first.
In addition to Fast and Furious, the game integrates other iconic properties such as Back to the Future, Knight Rider, Miami Vice, and Death Race. Players will utilize a variety of vehicles ranging from classic film cars to motorcycles and buses to complete director-issued challenges. While the game utilizes arcade-style physics, the developers emphasize that the core experience is designed to simulate the chaos and precision of Hollywood filmmaking.
