As Samsung prepares for the upcoming release of its Galaxy Tab S12 series, early details regarding the tablets’ aesthetic and technical specifications have emerged. According to reports from SammyGuru, the official wallpapers for the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra have been discovered within prerelease firmware files.

The leaked collection includes two distinct gradient designs, each available in versions optimized for both the standard Android tablet interface and Samsung’s desktop-oriented DeX mode. The first design features a soft gradient transitioning from light blue at the top to pink and purple tones. The second design utilizes a warmer palette, blending orange and peach at the top with yellow, green, and teal shades toward the bottom. These visuals suggest a continuation of Samsung’s trend toward abstract, fluid color compositions.

Beyond the aesthetic leaks, the firmware files provide insight into the anticipated hardware configuration for the new series. The Galaxy Tab S12+ is expected to feature a 12.4-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the premium Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is slated to house a larger 14.6-inch AMOLED display, also at 120Hz. Both models are expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, supported by 12GB of RAM and a 256GB base storage capacity.

Battery performance remains a focal point for the new lineup, with the Plus variant expected to feature a capacity between 10,500mAh and 10,600mAh. The Ultra model is projected to include an 11,600mAh battery. Both devices are anticipated to support 45W wired charging speeds, maintaining parity with current industry standards for high-end tablets.
