The “Goy” Theatre demands an urgent interim solution from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports until the court and law enforcement reach a final decision. The theatre’s Facebook page has issued a statement, calling for the immediate resumption of its regular activities.
Earlier, “Goy” Theatre resumed its sit-in protest against the government’s decision to merge it with the National Academic Theatre after Gabriel Sundukyan. The theatre’s staff opposes this merger and wishes to continue performing independently.
On November 2, the theatre announced its readiness to resume regular operations; however, on November 4, the Sundukyan Theatre’s director Vardan Mkrtchyan stated there was no official decision for the theatre to do so.
The theatre’s team is requesting an urgent solution from the Ministry until a final decision is reached.
