Japanese rock band KANA-BOON has officially announced plans for their first-ever solo concert in South Korea. The event, titled KANA-BOON “CRITICAL HIT PARADE” – Asian Adventure –, is scheduled to take place on December 5th at the YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, according to an announcement by live entertainment brand LIVET.
Hailing from Sakai, Osaka, KANA-BOON has established a significant presence in the Japanese rock scene since their major debut in 2013. The band currently consists of vocalist and guitarist Taniguchi Maguro, bassist Endo Masami, and newest official members guitarist Yokoi Takayuki and drummer Seki Yuriko. The addition of Yokoi and Seki on January 1st of this year marked a transition to a new operational structure for the quartet.
The band is widely recognized for their contributions to popular anime soundtracks, which have helped build their international fanbase. Notable tracks include the 2014 hit “Silhouette” from Naruto Shippuden, “Star Marker” for My Hero Academia, “Torch of Liberty” for Fire Force, and “Song of the Dead” for Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead.
This upcoming performance follows the group’s successful appearance at the “WONDERLIVET 2025” festival in South Korea last year. Organizers and fans are looking to see how the band translates their evolved sound and current ensemble dynamic into a full-length solo stage production.
