Justin Cooper, best known for playing Jim Carrey’s young son in the 1997 comedy Page Six reported, revealed that he received disturbing fan mail from prison inmates when he was just eight years old. Speaking on the “Not So Little Rascals” podcast hosted by Jordan Warkol and Blake Collins, the 37-year-old former actor opened up about the hidden darker side of his early Hollywood career.
Cooper explained that his mother played a crucial protective role during his childhood stardom. While he remained largely unaware of the inappropriate correspondence at the time, his mother intercepted letters from individuals behind bars who expressed disturbing fascination with the young actor. Cooper credited her with keeping him safe on set and refusing to leave him unsupervised in an industry where child performers are sometimes vulnerable to exploitation.
Reflecting on his rapid departure from acting in 2003, Cooper noted that early fame brought immediate public attention, making it difficult to move around without drawing crowds in his hometown. Following appearances in television shows such as “Full House,” “Boy Meets World,” and “The Practice,” Cooper transitioned entirely away from on-screen work. Today, he works behind the scenes as an executive producer on “The Ben Maller Show” on FOX Sports Radio.
