Tests commissioned on VeganicSKN products—including the popular Reef Safe SPF 50 and Surf Life Saving SPF 50 Natural Mineral Face Sheer Liquid Zinc Sunscreen—returned SPF values of 21 and 25, respectively, in preliminary trials. These findings alarmed consumer advocates and regulators alike.
