Vote-by-mail season is officially underway as the Bucks County Board of Elections sent out its first batch of mail ballots late last week. According to the county, these ballots are expected to arrive in voters’ mailboxes in the coming days. In addition to postal delivery, seven in-person “on-demand” mail-in ballot locations opened to assist voters who prefer to skip the mail system entirely.
Mail-In Voting and On-Demand Sites Open in Bucks County
The on-demand service is available at the Board of Elections main office in Doylestown, satellite offices at County Government Services Centers in Quakertown and Levittown, and temporary election offices at the Warminster Township Free Library and Bucks County Community College campuses. Operating hours vary by location, and voters can verify schedules directly through the county website. Each location also features a secure ballot drop box staffed by an election employee during operating hours, with additional library drop boxes scheduled to open on October 19.
Key Deadlines and Alternative Voting Options
Voters utilizing mail-in options are not required to apply in person and can request ballots online via the Pennsylvania Voter Services website or by submitting a paper application to the board. The final deadline to request a mail-in ballot is October 27, and all completed ballots must be returned to the Bucks County Board of Elections no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day, November 3. Traditional in-person voting remains available at local polling places on Election Day between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.
